That's what I renamed the New Kids on the Block song, "Hangin' Tough" today.

This is what our formal living room looked like this morning. Pictures not hung, lamps on floor, and boxes of books hidden behind the chair.
This room has the furniture that was in our living room on Bieze Street. We were lucky with the paint color. It really does match perfectly!

My first task was to hang the coral prints. I have been avoiding this. Hanging a grouping of pictures takes patience, and a measuring tape. I love to eyeball things.

I laid the frames on the floor to get an idea of the spacing I wanted.

These prints are from art.com. Got them about two years ago.

Sidenote-bookcase is finally full of old law books. I am glad the old book trend is hot right now.

Next, I taped paper on the wall for the measuring to begin.

The great thing about these frames, is the movable wire. You can adjust very easily if your nails aren't perfectly level.

Frames were from IKEA a few years back.

I didn't like how low I hung the bottom pictures. See the one on the bottom right. All I had to do was adjust the wire, and I was set!

The big reveal.

Here's a view of the room a few hours later. The coffee tables are acting as temporary side tables for now. We brought in another one of our coffee tables. {I washed the pillow covers on the sofa}

The Martha Washington chair on the right is from an estate sale. I need to get it recovered, so I'm testing out this Kelly Wearstler Faux Imperial Trellis fabric.

Then it was to other rooms. This is our breakfast room below. Hung a few things here. I am planning to repaint this room a light, neutral color when we do the family room.

After the breakfast room, came the master bedroom. I am so happy that our master bedroom was already painted a color that's basically the same as our old house. We have a fireplace, and two built in bookcases. I found a spot for the leftover law books that wouldn't fit up front.

I hung our egg prints over the mantle. They are a tad small, but at least they're up! Maybe I'll add more.

Last but not least is my office. This room is opposite the foyer from the formal living room. It has a LONG way to go, but I hung my old Whippet print until I figure out what direction this room is going.

It was a productive Sunday, and in case you're wondering-we have 7 fireplaces, so I will need more art!!

One of the great things about our new house is my office. It is one of the large, front, formal living rooms. Now if a client needs to meet me here, they can come in the front door or the porte cochere side door. They won't have to walk through the entire house like my last one.

The bad thing about this is, my office is one of the first rooms seen when entering our house. I have kind of been ignoring it until now. This is the only room that still has unpacked boxes. Yikes!! My newest design dilemma is how to make my home office look more like a formal living space. When I say formal, I don't really mean formal....maybe "stylish living space?"

This is my old office below. Loved it. Fun, bright, and functional.

It is a bad picture, but the large white desk isn't working for me now. I'm thinking more along the lines of a smaller desk, and a non-rolling chair. Kind of like this one below.

This picture is my new all time favorite for an office look! Erika of Urban Grace is the designer, and it was featured in Southern Living a few months back.
This has me thinking of stylish storage solutions. Let me know if you see any painted secretaries for sale like this! I also think the idea of a skirted table might work. Maybe my desk could be skirted, or possibly a table that could cover my printer, and all that boring office equipment.

First, you must see another Whippet picture. Savannah's lip gets stuck, and her fangs hang out. We think it's pretty funny.
I will admit, it's been tough to find time for blogging. With our old house sold, we have finally had a chance to relax and enjoy the new place. For a few minutes here and there.

This past weekend we had our first house guests. Everything went great, and we can't wait to have more! Since the upstairs was clean, and decently organized, I thought I would show a bedroom.

I call this guest bedroom 1. It's upstairs in the original, front part of the house. We think the house was built around 1850, and at that time would have only had 2 bedrooms upstairs.

This room has lots of character with the sloping ceilings, and fireplace. We have seven fireplaces now. If anyone has any suggestions on where to buy cheap {and good looking} firescreens let me know!

The wallpaper in this room is a very small and light aqua floral print. We had the previous seller leave the carpet since it was cut for the room. For the record I would like to state that the upstairs is going to be the last domain when it comes to redecorating. If I didn't start showing you pictures as is, you might never see them!

The curtains were also already here. I took down a floral valance, and left the panels. They are a small stripe. This house was full of traversing {sp} curtain rods. I am becoming a huge fan of these! It's so easy to open and close the curtains! This house isn't full of blinds, so the curtains were functional. I do not intend to put up blinds either. Since we are pretty private up here, I like having the windows open for light and the view.

So, we already had all the furniture that is in this room. The only purchase was the $9 pillow from American Mills. It has a bird to tie in with the bird tiles on the fireplace. That's all for now. I again apologize for the slow posting. I am working on revamping the blog as far as look and design. We also have a new business idea in the pipeline. I promise to post details when I am a little further in!

Get ready to be amazed!

Well, not really. It's just a little before and after of our new laundry room aka closet.

Our laundry was located in the basement of our old house. I had tons of space! Now, we have a small closet off of the kitchen.

I hate to complain since it's in a convenient locale. The new laundry closet also has some cabinets. I decided to remove the cab doors. This should allow easier access to everything. I decided in the process to throw a coat of paint on everything. I used bright white paint we already had, the olive color on our old interior doors, and Ben Moore's Palladian Blue {half formula} from our old master bedroom.

If I am going to spend countless hours with my head in this area, why not have a nicer view?

The shelves were painted olive, because I figured they would wear better over time than if they were white.

Now our paper towels and mismatched dog towels are very handy. I also took an idea from my mom. She keeps flower vases in her laundry room cabinets. This freed up some space in the new pantry. That's another project. Needs paint, new shelving, etc.

I know this first project isn't that exciting, but I figured if it wasn't done before moving in, that it never would happen!

Totally off topic. How cute is this? The best house warming gift ever! Thanks D & M!

This was the old house during the packing process. It's amazing how many boxes we used.

Every now and then, we would have to take a break.

While the movers where loading the truck, the girls and I took some stuff to the new house. Pillows, bedding, etc.
They liked the sea of softness.

Once we were moved, the work began.

We replaced the front portion of the roof. They are almost finished.
The picture above, was the before picture.

We also changed/added some fencing in the backyard.
Lots of gates.

Sophie is a big fan of St. Augustine grass.

Savannah is a fan of our larger yard.

I just got internet yesteryday. It has been crazy not having access. We really are settled in pretty good. Now I have to work on my office. Stay with me, just a little more time, and I will get back into blogger mode!

It's tough to decide how to blog about our new house. I am thinking once we are moved in, I will post room by room. This will take awhile...

This past weekend, I got this shot of the barn and silo in the backyard. I took it from an upstairs bedroom.
This is where Charles can call all the shots. He has great plans for the silo one day. Currently, it's covered with wisteria. Now you see why I'm going to call this our farmhouse. It was in fact, a working farm back in the day. Like 1850.

I absolutely love this sleek kitchen and it's antique looking table that doubles as an island. In our new kitchen, we will not have a true island, but I will be on the lookout for a small version of this. Just large enough to tuck some stools under.

Charles has always liked Windsor Chairs, so I saved this picture above. I really like the small Windsor bar chair.

Found this one on Twenga. I think it's from the UK. I will have to keep looking for more affordable versions if we decide to go this route.

I tend to gravitate toward non-formal dining rooms when saving pictures. Maybe it is a generation thing, or maybe it's just the fact that we don't want to spend tons of money on formal dining room furniture! Either way, here are some current faves.

The current issue of Garden & Gun has our wheels turning. One fun part of buying a new house, is to think about creative ways to use the different spaces. Wouldn't a porch swing/bed be so fun to have on an enclosed porch or sunroom?

Saturday night we were also inspired by a fabulous porch with a large swing at a party. You could just imagine the fun fall days watching football, and hanging on the porch...literally.

The picture above is a favorite from Coastal Living. I had already saved in my favorites file because of the fabrics and colors.

The Southern Living Idea House is also in on the trend. This is the lower terrace at the house in Senoia. So, Charles and I want to make one and hang it somewhere. I think the girls would like napping on it too.

This is a happy time for us. We couldn't be happier that we have a great couple that wants to buy our house.

Then, Saturday night, we had a party to attend. "Summer Chic" was the dress. What is more summer chic than Lilly?

I am sofa shopping for the new house. This is the current 76" sofa in our living room. We bought a shorter sofa to work with our design/furniture arrangement. I have been very happy with it. Great color when you have beige/tan dogs, and the back pillows are easily fluffed back to life after some 30 lb. pups have been sleeping on them!
Another great idea we had when buying this sofa was in the event of a move, it could work in a more formal living space. Well, that's what is happening. This little guy will be living in a formal living room!

For the family room in our next house, we are going for style & comfort!! Charles' only request is for it to be long enough for napping. This one below is from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. Christine and I saw it in the Atlanta store, and it is impressive! It is 98" long, and super comfy! The showroom model was slipcovered in an awesome linen. However, this extra long, linen, down filled sofa is a tad out of the alloted budget! So I am moving on....

So, I did drag Charles to Atl for some sofa testing. My main concern is the look and style, but I did want his input on the comfort factor. We hit Crate & Barrel-nothing there for us, then Restoration Style-the only sofa I liked online wasn't in the store, then Pottery Barn. We both really loved the Comfort Square Arm sofa with the box cushions. It definitely passed the comfort test. This sofa is 89" long, and has a very deep seat. We also like the fact that it is slipcovered, and their twill fabrics are machine washable. A very important thing for us with the 2 Whippets. I really do like square arms in general, so this was top of the list for about 2 weeks until.....

I find out that my favorite store in Saint Simons carries a brand called the Best Slipcover Company. Everything is slipcovered, and the big clincher is the fabrics are all washable and fabulous!!! We're not talking about your basic denims and twills, we're talking awesome linens and printed fabrics that I LOVE!!! Then I remember my favorite designer & blogger, Erika, has posted about BSC before. This is her sofa below. It's called the Rachel, and I love it. Style-check, washable linen slipcover-check, good review from a real designer-check!

Now the only question is, will Rachel be long enough? The website has her coming in at 84" wide. That worried me, but I also see that the arms aren't wide so, I called BSC, and happy day, the inside seat width is the same as the Pottery Barn sofa above!!

After obsessing over this sofa for a few days, I remembered seeing one similar.

Same looking sofa, and awesome box pleated skirt. This is from Market on Newcastle in Brunswick, Ga. I loved that store, and I don't think I ever did a post about it. It's crazy that earlier this year, way before the new house/furniture thing was even an idea, I apparently like this style of sofa.

So now I am just waiting on pricing to see if it's going to be a go....Also like the matching club chairs, but that will be another day.

Have a great weekend! We have a full weekend of end of summer parties, and more packing, cleaning, organizing, etc. Oh, and our Comer Jones cottage is now officially under contract! We could not be more happy at the timing of this!

Head on over to your local Big Lots because they might have some great stuff! On Sunday I found this cream garden stool. They retail for $139 at Ballard Designs. We found for $10 at Big Lots! Can you believe $10!!!!!

I went back yesterday, and all the cream ones are gone, so I got another blue one.

Then, I saw two of these cool lamps. Marked down to $40 from $130. They are large lamps. I don't like spending a lot of money on lamps, so I snatched these up.

I don't particularly like the flesh color, so I plan on painting the base. Probably white.

I do love the burlap shade!

Saw this at Shades of Light, thought it could look similar.

I guess it is the week of lamps. I found this small one at Roses the other day. $5! It is very small, but so cute! They did have a few others in a darker color brown.

So, the word is getting out. Charles and I have finally found a new house. I am still not going to share pictures on the blog until it's a done deal! It is very close to our current house. We are very excited, and at the same time, I am a bit overwhelmed when I think of decorating a larger space. Not because it won't be fun, but because the budget will be limited. I look around our house now, and forget there was a time that I didn't love every single thing. I must remember....baby steps. Anyway, the first room in the new house that we will take on is the family room. This will be the only room that is properly done for awhile. :)

Needless to say, I have a folder on my computer with images saved specifically for this new house. Today, I wanted to share some family/living room pictures that get me thinking....

I remember this room below when it came out in Coastal Living. This really shows that a neutral room can still have a pop, or some pizazz! For our family room, I definitely want a large comfy sofa, and a pair of matching club chairs. {Preferably swivel rockers, we are going all out for comfort!}

Not that I am thinking of painting our family room lavender, but I saved this for two reasons. One, for a sectional type sofa, this one is the best I've seen. Two, I kind of like the color palette of lavender, olive, and coral-maybe fun in a bedroom?

Another element of our soon to be family room is french doors. We will have two of them. I also have saved rooms to get ideas on window treatments, furniture arrangement, etc. I really like the shutter doors next to the fireplace.

This room is really more an inspiration for a sunroom. But it also has a mix of different chair styles. It was pretty easy for me to get our current living room together. I didn't buy a living room set! Everything is a different style, and came from a different store. I want to create that same feel, but in a larger room I don't want to have too many different elements to clash. This is the main reason for my saved pictures-to figure out what type/style of furniture pieces to get. {Keep in mind we are mixing a lot of stuff we currently own, I am not starting from scratch in this room-thank goodness for our basement!}

This room was featured recently in Coastal Living. It has a lot of elements I really like. Neutral walls, slight coastal theme, french doors, comfortable furniture that blends together well. The coffee table is very similar in size to one we have in the basement. Ours is also painted off white, but is a mix of wicker and bamboo. I love the fact that I can use it again. It really is a large square. And, it's painted so I can change the color as many times as I want! I also like the painted chair in the bottom left corner of the picture. I still have my 2 black rattan chairs, that I still desperately want to paint! At least now I can justify waiting to see where they end up. Maybe in my office...

In the following room, I love the bamboo shades mixed with neutral curtains. I am also planning on a seagrass rug. The two club chairs look like some swivel gliders I am considering for the room.

I like the neutral palette in this one with the pops of color. I am not into red, but would consider coral. This aqua armoire is my favorite piece in the room. Luckily, I have already have some aqua accents, so I am definitely planning on that being in the color scheme.

There are two things I love about these pictures.

One, is the sweet baby sitting in the chair.

Two, is the cool chair we bought at a local estate sale 2 weeks ago. It's going to be a perfect bedroom chair in a new house.

This is what I see when sitting at my desk. Earlier this year, we rearranged my home office, and I now look out the french doors. Before I was staring at the wall. I highly recommend facing a window if at all possible in your home office. Does wonders for the mind and mood.

It's been a long time since the last textile tuesday here on real estate style. The fact that we will be moving at some point, {our house is for sale} really gets my decorating juices flowing. I have tons of new inspiration photos saved that I will be sharing soon.

Lately, I have been liking the look of a casual, bright striped fabric. I even like a seersucker. What started this was my visit to Seaside Home in Saint Simons earlier this year. I fell in love with this swivel, rocker, club chair. It ROCKS! Literally & figuratively...

I absolutely love the striped feed sack looking fabric above. I took a trip to Lewis & Sheron the other day, and they have more colors. Maybe good for pillows at $45/yard.

Anyway, I will continue to post ideas for a new house. Now that the Comer Jones Cottage is complete with it's coastal aquas and greens, I plan to continue that theme in a new house as much as possible. {Mainly to keep using what we already have!} Another reason I tried to keep our house somewhat of a continuous theme is the size. I think for a small house, it's nice for it to flow, and not have rooms that are completely different. Maybe if we end up in a larger house, I can change it up a bit.

Some bloggers like to post the outfits they wear on a regular day. I wanted to show what I wore the other night....to a 70's party!
Old scarf of my mom's, my massive sunglasses, wooden earrings, pique dress, and Tarjay super stacker shoes. Mom wore this as a swimsuit cover-up in the 70's, so this was my look. I went against the hippie chick, or disco diva-I like to think more Jackie O. :)

It's tough to get couple shots. Please pardon the dog toy mess. This is Savannah's toy basket {aka wood feed bucket} in my office.

Magazines are tough to throw away. I do try to thin my collection periodically. It is too sad to throw them away, so I usually pass on to a friend. {Unless I have torn out too many pages for my binder}

One way to keep my abundance of magazines, is to use them as decor. In our living room cabinet, I keep my stack of Veranda magazines. To me, they look nice enough with the wide edge. Anyway, the other night I was flipping through them, and found one of my very favorite rooms. Thought I would share.

I do like a mix of colors, but if I had to choose one color to go with white, this bright green is it!

This is one of those spaces that gets me excited, and ready to redecorate something!!

This beautiful room seems like something I can emulate pretty easy.

Bright green has always been my color of choice. When I used to compete show horses, my colors were green and purple, then as I got older, I went to green and black. If there is ever a color choice in something, for me it's green! Doesn't this room just make you happy?

There's nothing like putting your house on the market to get you cleaning, trashing, and organizing! What do you do with those things from childhood that you don't need, but just hate the thought of throwing out? I do think you have to purge in stages. When I went to college, I took only the things I needed. Then my parents sold their house when I lived in Newnan, and they sent a TON of my stuff to me. We're talking every single thing that I had ever owned. When I left Newnan for Griffin, I did get rid of a bunch of stuff. There were still things that I wasn't ready to let go. Through the years here in Griffin, I have given away and thrown away more stuff. Things that just a few years ago I thought I had to keep. Anyway, this story is brought on by this collage below. Way back in the day, my best friend made this for me. I remember her asking for some of my horse magazines at the time. Since I am apparently a hoarder and pack rat by nature, I gave them to her with trepidation....This is what she did! I'd say we were somewhere in the 11-13 age range. I have had this thing framed all of these years. Cleaning the basement the other day, I ran across it. My great idea was to take a picture for me to keep. This really is/was the ultimate inspiration board for all things equine. Which leads me to my point.
When we were younger, we called them collages. Now, as bloggers or whatever, we call them inspiration boards. Maybe it is just a cooler term. If you told your friends you made a cool collage, they might start thinking of pictures of your favorite boy bands, and such! Inspiration board, just sounds-maybe more professional and grown up. Here is my current IB below. No staging or rearranging.

visit to the 30A

These pictures are a little late. For the 4th, we went to San Destin. One of the days, we cruised down the 30A to Seaside. I have never been to this area, but after reading Seleta's blog, and Erika's blog for a long time now, I was interested in seeing this great area.

These are just some random pictures from the day. I do LOVE Seaside, and would love to go back for a vacation. It is such a happy place, and I love how neat, clean, and organized it is! Did I mention it's a pretty dog friendly place too?

What did we do before online shopping? It's the ultimate in window shopping. Found these good looking lanterns on Shades of Light.

There was a recent Southern Living that featured a home with huge glavanized water troughs as planters. That got me thinking that I really like the galvanized look. {Never knew that in all my years around horse water troughs}

I really like this lantern below.

These would be cool on a covered porch. Or maybe in a barn if you wanted to have a barn party!

Then to the natural looking stuff. I am also a big fan of driftwood decor. This sphere lantern is awesome, but at $799, Charles and I may have to find our own driftwood and make one.

This bamboo is super cute. I could see this in some bright colors! It's $148, so more reasonable.

This Gothic Lantern is one of my faves. Comes in different sizes and finishes.

I think this one would look good over our dining room table. Anyway, that's all for the weekend, have a good one!

{Our Cottage} Exterior

Today's post ends our "before & after" pictures of our house. The "before" below was the house when I met Charles. A few years later, it was time for a paint job. We choose an olive color. I believe it was Behr paint, matched to Ralph Lauren's Master Room. The trim is Behr Super White.
Then you will notice, the screen porch is non-existent. After years of thinking how to maximize our space, the idea for our master bath & closet was born. Since the screened porch shared a wall with one of the bedrooms, it worked out perfectly to create a true master suite.

This was the renovation process from the outside. We started in late winter/early spring 2009, and moved in around May 2009. Our house was already a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, but one of the bathrooms is in the basement. Now we are officially a 3/2 on the main floor. {Our Cottage} Master Bedrom & Bath

I wish I really had a before picture of this room. Before our renovation, it had two closets to the left and right of the window. They had mirrored doors, and took up what felt like most of the room. On the solid wall between the bedroom and bath, there was a double window {now on the front of the house}. There really wasn't much you could do with furniture placement in here. Fitting in even a queen bed was tough. Maybe one day I will run across a true before shot, but for now, this is the best I can do! The before was when we first moved into the room after the reno. Very bare bones, white walls. Then, as you've seen here, and here.
The bathroom and closet were the biggest before and afters. Yes, you are seeing correctly, the bathroom used to be a screened in porch. We spent many days sketching this on napkins, scraps of paper-you name it! Again, living in a space before renovating makes a huge difference! I can truly say we love everything about our new master bath and walk in closet!

{Our Cottage} Dining Room

Here is the dining room before & after. Remember in the kitchen b&a, there was a single doorway into the kitchen? Well, we took that wall out. We now spend a lot of time at the dining room table, since it is so open to the kitchen. {Only had a before picture that was taken during the progress!}

Here's one thing I learned about renovations. If you live in the space for awhile, you have time to think and go over different options. Charles and I discussed this for a long time, and we have been so happy with the result. There isn't any detail we would change!

{Our Cottage} Living Room

Wednesday I posted my first before & after of our house. I tried put the pictures in a way that they are side by side. Once the post went live, I realized it cut off some of the pictures. I have tried to change it a bit today. Still not as clear as I want. Maybe tomorrow I will go back to posting the individual pics. I really need to take a class in computers and blogging!

Today's B&A of our house is the living room. When I met Charles, he already lived here. I immediately thought the house was super cute. Also, I didn't think his living room was too bad for a bachelor. He had a friend who helped him with the furniture. Being a UGA grad, I thought the red and black theme was fitting. I wish I had a better picture of the sofa. For a red, leather sofa, it was actually cute. And the striped black fabric on the club chairs. Anyway, once we were married, we merged a lot of furniture. I guess you could say at that time, I had different style as well. My scheme in Newnan used reds, greens, and yellows. We had a couple years mixing the two. Over time, and hundreds of magazines later, I found "our" style. Let's call it cheerful, casual with hints of coastal!
I really did things backwards. The paint color was changed first. The wall color is Glidden Ruffled Feathers. A very light gray with green undertones. Next, I got the teal/blue dupioni silk curtains from Pottery Barn for the dining room. I know, not the way to go, but at least I painted a neutral paint color! Once I realized the house didn't match the curtains, I was on the hunt for a fabric to go with them. When I saw this fabric in a magazine, I knew that was the way we were headed! {the Azure colorway} Being a Romo fabric that is only available to the trade, I didn't really want to deal with that, so I went to Lewis & Sheron in Atlanta, and found this, and our new living room was born!
Update since this picture was taken, I have taken down the 2 paintings that I did. Decided the colors weren't right. And the black, rattan chairs are placed at more of an angle, not side by side. I also planned to paint the chairs, but that will have to wait until the next house one day!

I really think the fireplace/mantle situation was one of the biggest game changers in the room. The mirror went all the way to the ceiling. The mantle and brick were sooo dark. We ended up putting up new sheetrock on the ceilings in the living room, dining, and kitchen. The house had the old plaster ceilings, that didn't look great. While we were at it, we ripped out, and replaced all the crown molding, and window trim. So, a new mantle piece was created. The trim inspiration came from the original built in bookcases to the left and right of the fireplace.

{Our Cottage} Kitchen & Mud Room

Today's post is going to feature a little "before & after." Going through my old files, I found some good ones to remind me of how far we've come! Here is the kitchen back in the bachelor days. Some new appliances, paint, sheetrock, new trim, and painted wood floors later, I have been so happy with the result!

{Notice the single doorway into the kitchen from the dining, remember this for a post to come, we removed that wall!}

And off the kitchen, what used to be an under used porch. We created a mud room by removing the door between the kitchen and the porch. We then spruced it up with paint, a bench, shelves, & a $50 chandelier from Wal-mart.

What do you think? Our main goal was to open up the house as much as possible. It has been amazing how the mud room is now a usable space. Great place for doggie leashes, and a perfect eating spot! Also creates a more pleasant pass through for entertaining since this is the main exit to the deck. My tip, if you have a door that never gets used, i.e. closed, then take it out! Don't forget to patch the spots where the hinges were for a nice framed opening.

{Our Cottage} Guest Bedroom & Bath

In all honesty, this is my least favorite room. I really wanted to focus on our master bedroom, so this room is really a hodge podge of what we already had.
When Charles and I were first married, this was our room. It was closer to the bathroom. {Remember, the master bath is only a year old} I chose this blue a long time ago. I think it's Ben Moore, Yarmouth Blue. It's a tad dark for my taste now.

The previous homeowners had removed the closet doors, so I hung white mattelasse curtains. It has been nice to be able to open and access the entire closet at once. We also added the shelving and rod system that you can move around.

The dresser went with me to college, and has been painted MANY times. The tiny tv was also my very first tv that I took to UF. That was the first time I ever had a tv in my bedroom. From then on, I think I have had tv's in every room except for maybe the bathrooms. :)

The great thing about this room is the natural light. Tons of windows.

This is the guest/hall bath. Over the years it has had a few curtain changes. Charles bought this house before we met, so I was happy that the bachelor pad at least had a white bath. And it was white! White tile, and white walls.

We painted this a Behr color, I think. Very light. Then I changed the cabinet hardware, light fixture, and towel rack. You can't see it, but I am a huge fan of the double hang towel bars. We also have one in our master bath. And the most recent, final touch, the cute heron prints. There is also one over the towel bar. Tough to photograph this room!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am working towards getting the house on the market for sale. The main thing left to do, is straightening up the basement. For a small house, we have tons of space! I still need to get my office/3rd bedroom clean for pics. Stay tuned!

{Our Cottage} Master Bedroom Update

I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July weekend! We had a nice long vacation in San Destin, Fl. I will post pictures from the trip later this week.

Remember awhile back I posted pictures of our master bedroom here. Well, I feel like I can safely say it is finally complete! {minus curtains} We recently bought a dresser that I think works perfectly! It was a great deal from a lady here in Griffin. It brings me much joy. She said it originally came from HomeGoods. I am pleased with how it works with the bench.

I wish our tv was white. Let me know if you see any cute white ones. Other than our tiny white one in the kitchen, I haven't seen any.

So in other news, we are going to be putting the Comer Jones Cottage up for sale sometime this week. Isn't it always the case that just when you get things right, it's time to move! We will be sad to see it go, but Charles and I both agree, it's time to move on. Don't worry all my Griffin friends, we will stay in the same neighborhood!
As I start to photograph the house for the listing info., I will be posting more pictures. I would appreciate any critiques on my photos, and on the house! Being a real estate broker, I am realizing this is going to be tough. When I sold my house in Newnan, I had already moved out, so not as stressful :) More to come...

small project update

There's nothing like having a nice work weekend to get your house in order! Charles has been working so hard in the yard. I am so impressed and happy with how our little place is looking. Meanwhile, I cleaned, did laundry, and finished a few projects. One that I worked on, was painting our interior doors. Earlier this year, I started painting our doors an olive color. I painted all the sides you see, just not the backs. So, I worked on that Saturday.

idea house art

The other day I did a post about the fabulous new Southern Living Idea House in Senoia, Ga. Check it out here. In the post I mentioned one of the featured artists, Millie Gosch, who is originally from Newnan. Since Newnan and Senoia are both in Coweta County, the designer tried to find local art for the house.

I ablsolutely love oil paintings. The more colorful and casual the better. See an old art post here.

It doesn't hurt that many of Millie's paintings are based on my two favorite places...farms and beaches. They aren't really beach front paintings, but mostly marsh {I believe some based on St. Simons Island}

Sometimes I like to post pictures so I know I can always find them. A blog is really a great way to keep track of the millions of pictures we take having digital cameras. The days of having all photos developed are over, so in lieu of printing pics, I like to post!

Amelia Island

This past weekend we went to Amelia Island for the GA Bar Association conference. {Lawyers not bartenders :)} This was our 3rd year going to this, and staying at the Amelia Island Plantation. We learned that they do have dog friendly rooms, so this year the girls got to go on vacay too!
It was great! We had a first room floor, perfect for doggy potty breaks.

We also had a room that overlooked the ocean. Each morning we took the girls for beachtime very early while the beach was pretty quiet and cool.

Savannah got to practice her jumping skills. She's pretty impressive.

Sophie loves the beach, always has.

There was some high speed running. Mostly by this one below.

The beach really is Whippet heaven.

Did I mention she's fast? Very fast....

They did great in the room. No accidents or problems! Savannah really likes vacation life!

What's Your Style in One Photo Challenge!

The blog, From The Right Bank, to The Left Coast, To The Deep South, has it's 3rd installment of "What's Your Style in One Picture" challenge. I decided to browse through my saved pics to see what I could use.

This picture below has been in my favorites file for a long time. {I always think if I were an Auburn fan or UF fan, this would be my room!} Anyway, I love casual, yet put together look of this room. I would not necessarily use blue and orange, but I like the mix of bright colors against neutral furniture and walls. I think my style is going towards neutral paint colors and large pieces of furniture, with colorful accents.

For this photo challenge I had to search to find the source of this picture. Turns out it is from designer Palmer Weiss. His website has some fabulous pictures! I will be doing a post on Palmer as a new favorite designer soon!
Again, I am not a bright orange person, but I just love the way this room feels. There are plenty of good looking formal spaces online, but I love finding casual family rooms that are something that I can imagine living in.

Southern Living Idea House!

Extra, Extra! There is a Southern Living Idea house 30 miles from Griffin, Ga!!! Of course I had to venture over on opening weekend to see for myself.

Senoia is halfwalf between Newnan & Griffin. When Charles and I were dating, I lived in Newnan, and he lived in Griffin. There were many drives through this small town. About the only thing I ever did in Senoia was buy horse feed. There was a small feed store that carried my brand. Anyway, Senoia didn't have too much going on just a few years back. Slowly, but surely, the addition of new restaurants and antique shops starting increasing. Oh yeah, Holberg's Furniture store was already there, that is a great store.

If you can plan a day to visit the new Idea House, plan to spend a few hours in downtown Senoia. Word to the wise, go to the Idea House first. They may give you a coupon to use in the downtown shops and restaurants. Christine and I didn't know that....We ate, shopped, then went to the house. I would fear after touring the awesome digs, that one might overspend at the stores. The designer, Jamie McPherson, said he bought some of the decor and furniture from Senoia's stores to give the house that local flavor. We actually met Jamie, and he was so nice. Jamie owns Hearth & Home Interiors. He was also recently featured in Southern Living.

One of the best things about the Idea House, is the source room. We were able to sign up to have a conmplete source guide mailed to us, but until then, there were some vendors' information in the garage. Jamie used art by local artists throughout the house. The art was one of the things that caught my eye right off the bat. My favorite is Millie Gosch. Check out her fabulous oil paintings.

Great courtyard area! I would replace these statues with Whippet statues, but that's just me...

AWESOME! That's all I have to say. I would prefer to have a paper version in hand, but the online shelter magazine, Lonny, is fabuloso! This is a popular topic among many of the blogs I read, but I felt it held enough importance to be discussed on this here blog. If you have already seen it, sorry. If you haven't, check it out now! The article on Pieces store owner, Lee K, is my favorite. She was hired to redecorate the model unit in her condo building in Atlanta. She goes through advice and things to keep in mind when staging a house for sale. If your house is on the market, or you are thinking about it-call me! Just kiddding, just read this article. I think the tips are good even if you aren't going anywhere. I like the idea of "less is more" when it comes to decorating. I might even go throw more stuff down into our basement right now!

eleven years

It's this gal's 11th birthday today. Can't believe it's been 11 years since our first meeting. Sophie came into our lives at the ripe old age of 4 months, and she took charge. She's still in charge....

The pictures above were taken at mine and Kim's Athens apartment in college. We had a small grassy area in the back. I like to call it the Jamestown Jungle. Anyway, there is the bday girl above with her older sister Lane. Lane would have been about one there.

The photo below was taken at Sophie's first horse show at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Those days, we spent lots of time on the road travelling to events.

I can't believe how dark their little racoon faces were back then.

Now, Sophie plays the role of older sister to Savannah. She likes that, like I said, she's in charge.

Last night we had a little shindig at the Jones cottage. When we get older, we get tired sometimes. Sophie had all she could take. She sacked out early in the guest room.

Looking forward to many more good years. Whippets typically have nice long lives, so we aren't worried about this girl going anywhere anytime soon!

Bedroom Inspiration & Giveaway!

My previous post featured pics of our master bedroom and bathroom. I forgot to post my inspiration pic, that started it all. This is a tear out from an old Coastal Living. I loved this bedroom so much! I found the same Pottery Barn Riley headboard at the outlet in north Ga. That was the catalyst for the whole thing! This featured room was painted in Ben Moore's Palladian Blue, half formula. Check! So, we do not have room for a sofa in our room, so we went with a church bench, and I still need window coverings. I am thinking white drapes, but trying to stay true to this photo, I kind of like the white roman shades. Anyway, this is what started it all. I did venture off a bit. You can see the club chair on the bottom right. I found that fabric, but instead chose an ikat type look. My lamps were such a steal, that I couldn't turn them down for white ones.

So on to my small give-a-way. May 6th was one year to the day that I started my blog in 2009. It has been a fun way to keep my friends and family up to date on the happenings in Griffin. Thanks to all who visit, and I hope you'll continue to come by!

I have been contemplating some changes to tie my blog name into my "Griffin Realty" brand a bit more. Also, to tie into my little booth at the Antique Griffin. Changing a blog name is a big thing, so I am going to think on it awhile longer before making any final decisions...Stay tuned!

{Our Cottage} Master Bath & Bedroom

There has been a dry spell here at real estate style. Due to recent events, I had to take a break. I know you are all thinking we must have taken a long, fabulous trip for the Memorial Day weekend. Not at all! I was laid up in the house after having mouth surgery. Terrible, that's all I have to say. Now on to our house. I finally took some pics of our recently painted bedroom and bath. The walls are Benjamin Moore, Palladian Blue, half formula.

We added the bath on our existing screen porch in the spring of 2009. I am so happy with our Mercer Train rack from Pottery Barn. Great when you are short on storage.

The floor was from 12"x12" carerra marble tiles cut in half. I had them laid in a railroad pattern to mimic the subway tiles in the shower. Can I say that I am a HUGE fan of the double towel bar. We got our first one in our other bath, and it really is great. Even if I had a huge bathroom with plenty of wall space, I would still use a double. I think they not only save space, but they look nice. {Even better with clean, folded towels on them}

Please excuse the dirty rugs. Our vanity was custom with the extra tall height. Nice for us folks 5'9" +. The mirror is from Cash Liquidators in Forsyth. {They sell stuff from hotels} I think it was $30. I used the silver rub n' buff stuff because it was gold.

We have been so pleased with the final result in our small 1930's cottage. Going from one full bath to two makes a world of difference. The knee wall in the shower is covered in beadboard. We left the original beadboard ceiling from the porch, so wanted to tie that in.

Now on to the bedroom. The palladian blue walls make me very happy. Also, my headboard was a great find at a Pottery Barn outlet. I believe it's the Riley headboard. The outlets do not sell the slipcovers, so I found a new organic, white, twill one on ebay.

The lamps are a very recent purchase from TjMaxx in Newnan. I prefer not to pay retail for anything... Bedside table on the right is an old family piece, and the other is a table skirted in cheap old muslin. I was so happy to figure out the $3/yard muslin matched the background of my pillow fabric. It came from PJs Fabrics in Albany. I think the name is Marrakesh in Cobblestone.

The duvet was a steal from Overstock.

You may remember the new bench and el cheapo' gallery wall I posted about a few weeks ago. We are loving the bench! Really great for piling up stuff :)

So that's it. I didn't show the wall with our tv and dresser, because I am waiting for a new/used dresser from a friend that I am going to paint white. I also have plans for white cotton curtains. Maybe a seagrass rug too, we'll see!

Until now, Savannah likes this spot today. I guess it's easy to look out the front window. I promise I didn't put her up there. Walked in the living room, and there she sat!

No, I don't have a giveaway going today. Today's topic is "stair runners." I know, so exciting. This week I'm covering some dreams & aspirations of mine concerning houses. Monday was dream kitchens, Tuesday was killer pool houses, and today is fabulous foyers & staircases.

{Our only stairs lead to the attic, & to our basement, don't think we'll be creating any of these looks anytime soon!}

I think the fawn print from eddie ross is fun & different! One of my many magazines has a room with a fawn rug, & I really like it. Also, it works with the wood treads. If I had a new house tomorrow with a staircase like this, I would be hesitant to paint the entire steps. The runner would allow for changes without hurting or changing the stairs.

This is a bright colored sisal. Or should I say "coloured," from Canadian House & Home.
I love this bold look, but would be much too scared to commit to something like this. Charles doesn't like to do things twice, but when it comes to decorating, I like to keep my options open...

I've had this picture saved for a long time. It was in my "skirted console tables" file. I like the neutral walls & seagrass rugs paired with the pop of coral & zebra.

As you can see, I am drawn to white kitchens. I think this is a timeless look. Watching Sarah's House on HGTV yesterday, she said something that made sense. When designing kitchens she stays away from extreme detailing and glazing on cabinets. Less is more, and that will allow for a kitchen that will stand the test of time. I agree!

In the summer of '08, we went to Sorrento, Italy. They grow very large lemons there! Charles & I were amazed.

Charles made fabulous fresh squeezed lemonade while there, & we were hooked. When back in the states, we purchased this electric juicer.

This afternoon, we'll be working for a good cause. We will be at spot 21 at the Spalding High track for Relay for Life. If you live in Griffin, come by for hotdogs, chips, and Charles' famous lemonade! It will be good. It will also be a long night. We will be out there pretty late!

Thomasville {Part 2}

The second part of our day trip in Thomasville was particularly fun for me. We visited Sweet Grass Dairy. They have a market where you can buy cheese, cured meats, wine, crackers, etc. Since I am a big fan of all cheese, we brought home some in addition to the best salami I have ever had. Also got a cute canvas shopping tote with their logo.

After the market, we drove into the dairy. They weren't open for tours, but we were told we could drive in to see some goats. The guy at the market said these babies were only a few days old.

I was pretty amazed by their cuteness.

It is a beautiful place. We didn't see any cows. They must have been hiding in another field.

Goats really do eat anything. See below.

I just think this little babe would love living with us and 2 whippets.

The goats below were closer to the actual dairy. They looked like teenage goats.

I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

On a side note. Emily Giffin's new book, Heart of the Matter, came out yesterday. I started it last night, and so far so good. She is one of my favorite fictional authors. I have read all of her previous books. She is an Atlanta girl.

Thomasville {part 1}

This past Saturday we took a walking tour of the Wade Tract Preserve in Thomasville, Ga. Charles is really interested in longleaf pine trees, so he planned this tour. The Wade Tract is a 200 acre old growth longleaf pine forest that has never been altered. They do use regular burning to maintain the preserve. A common thought is that burning forests harm the habitat. Saturday, we learned that it is quite the opposite. The burning process spurs growth that many birds like to nest in. There might be a window of time up to a year where the short growth is perfect for their nests.

As we were walking, we saw a wild turkey firsthand. They really can fly pretty well! She took off, leaving her nest for some good pics.

The forest is beautiful. Really nothing but longleaf pines.

They have jewelry too. Many of them are tagged to keep up with their age.

Our guide, Jim Cox. He was great, and very educational.

I was having a particulary bad allergy week, so I took plenty of kleenex in the old camera case.

So, to the final portion of the tour. Jim needed to band some baby woodpeckers. The mother was very close by, she wasn't too happy with him.

His swedish ladder system was really something amazing.

There were 2 babies in the hole in the tree. Jim estimated them to be only a few days old. Their eyes had just opened. He uses this noose type thing to gently get them out. Carries them down, and puts different colored bands on their legs.

I was sure to ask that the bands didn't hurt them, or ever get too tight. He said their legs develop very fast, and they won't grow much more.

The different color bands will help them to identify the birds in the future. They will be able to know their birthyear, and family.
He also needed to get the weight of each bird.

They really were amazing little guys. I recommend taking this tour if you are in the area!

just a few things to get off my chest...

I love a good chest. Mainly smaller ones that work for entryways, and small spaces. This one below is a bit larger. Would have made a good dresser. It was for sale a few years back at Furniss in Macon. Despite the hefty price tag, I wish we would have bought it. The piece by Drexel Heritage is now discontinued. Finding that out immidiately made me long for this. :(
So back to chests. Maybe it was my long time search for an entryway piece. This one below was a contender at Scott's Antique Market back in January. I still really like the size, shape, and color. The door pull is pretty cute too.

Then there were a few at Dutchman's in Saint Simons.

I am obviously a big fan of painted furniture.

Now on to some saved pieces from Pier 1. This isn't a chest, but cute nonetheless.

I believe this is the Wynterhall chest from Pier 1. Love the stripes.

And this is the Raie chest. I originally saw this in a mailer for Pier 1. Super cute!

Cinco de Mayo!

In celebration of cinco de mayo, I thought I would post pictures from our honeymoon 3 years ago! Charles and I went to Cabo San Lucas.
Our first leg of the trip we stayed at the Pueblo Bonita Sunset Resort. Charles booked this trip, and picked great places.

Pueblo Bonita was very new when we stayed there. We were amazed how beautiful everything was, and perfectly manicured.

One thing about Cabo, there are certain parts of the beach that swimming isn't allowed.

I guess the undertoe, or currents are bad. It was nice to walk on though.

Waiting for the cart. This resort is very hilly. Lots of steps, so they offer free golf cart rides around the place.

One day we ventured into Cabo.

This was the BEST part of this place. The pool way up the mountain.

You feel really high up here.

You can't forget to wear sunscreen here!

From there, we rented a car and drove up the coast to the small town of Todos Santos. It is a small artist town.

We stayed at the Todos Santos Inn.

We immediately fell in love, and highly recommend this place!

Anyway, this was a small boutique hotel in an old hacienda. It has only 8 rooms.

Beautiful pool area.

La Copa Bar & Landi's Restaurant were great.

Todos Santos is a fun town to walk around, eat, and shop. I love eating Mexican food at home, so you know I really loved all of the authentic food in Mexico. Really, I never got tired of it.

While eating outside at a small place, we saw this little guy above. Probably our favorite picture from the entire trip.

Back to the Todos Santos Inn.

So many beautiful colors and flowers in Mexico.

Located in the historic district of town, it's an easy walk.

This was a church in town. There was a wedding that day.

So, after Todos Santos, we went back through Cabo, and stayed at Casa Natalia in San Jose del Cabo.

Casa Natalia is in the historic district, so they have an agreement with a beach club in Cabo.

We loved this hotel! It was also a small boutique luxury hotel.

We loved our suite. Again, the bright colors were great.

Charles can tell you how much I obsessed over these pillows. They were everywhere.

We bought 3 of these embroidered pieces of fabric. They have yet to be made into pillows, but I still love them.

Day before Derby!

Derby time is always an exciting time of year! As a life-long horse enthusiast, it's fun to see non-horse folks get excited about horses and horse racing. Also, it's a time where horses and decor MUST go together, so it's a win win situation for me!

There will be 20 contenders running in the race tomorrow. I do not think there is a favorite picked to win, so I picked the best looking. Below is Paddy O'Prado. This is a good looking horse.

This is Super Saver. He will be ridden by jocky, Calvin Borel. Calvin won last year's Derby on Mine That Bird. It was quite an emotional win for him. We'll see how Calvin & Super Saver do!

What is the most important thing besides the horses....Hats!
I have a new black hat. Still need to decorate it, so here are some good inspiring pictures.

I will be wearing a new white dress, so these looks really work! All I need is some new ribbon and faux flowers.

I'll show you the final result when complete.

Today and tomorrow we will begin decorating the Bailey-Tebault house for our party tomorrow.

You know the Griffin Historical Society will be having the best Derby party in town! Come join us if you can. We will have some fabulous food, and this year official Kentucky Derby souvenir cups!

baby shower & some staging

This past Saturday we hosted a baby shower for Amanda. She is having a little girl in June! Jennifer hosted the shower at her house. While they have made much progress on their home, Jennifer still wants to do some things inside. I will have to get her to email me an exterior shot. They recently painted the outside, and it looks great. Another big thing they tackled was ripping up carpet and refinishing the hardwood floors through-out.

Luckily, her walls and furniture are a neutral canvas. We added some pillows that I brought from home. It will look familiar to some of you!

Jennifer's husband, Philip, did a little furniture rearranging for us as well.

The lamps are a new purchase from TJ Maxx in Newnan. They will find permanent residence in my master bedroom. Don't they look great in her house though!

Now on to the baby shower! We used white hydrangea type flowers and pink roses.

Of course with a baby girl, lots of pink and green. Amanda's nursery is also going to have pink and green.

We labeled the drinks. Not in order of importance...

The bibs on the mantle were an idea I got from Shannon's shower a few months back.

I finally hung all six of my egg prints. In my previous post, I told you I was working on an inexpensive gallery wall option for our master bedroom. You will find the link for the egg prints there.

I chose 6 to use on our wall.

The frames were a big score at Wal-mart. $3 each! That's a total of $18 for our art! Remember, the egg prints are free! All you need is a printer.

I am not great with the camera, flash, etc. so pardon the glare.

I think they turned out pretty good for $18. The $3 frames included the mats.

In my last post I told you about our new bench. This picture doesn't show the huge wall space above it. As soon as the bench was in place, I began racking my brain for art ideas.

Then, I realized this gallery wall look would be perfecto!

But how do I do this affordably? Similar botonical prints can run around $50-60 each!

I have done this once before on a budget. This is our mantel below. The coral prints were around $9.99 from art.com, and the frames are ikea. I think they were $10-15. Not too bad for 4 prints.
However, I need to do at least 6 prints. There are so many other things I need to be spending money on for our bedroom, so still don't want to go the art.com and ikea route.

Then, it hit me. I found some of these vintage egg prints online. THEY ARE FREE! All you need is a computer and a printer. You can see more vintage prints here!

I have been liking the vintage egg prints. You see them at Scott's or around the blogosphere. The colors really work with our bedroom wall colors and fabrics.

So, with my free art, I went on the hunt for el' cheapo frames. Found some. Will post pictures once my wall is complete. I have a few hung, and will finish this weekend.

This was a stop on our same north GA weekend trip that was in my previous post. I'll admit, there's not a lot to do in Young Harris. It is a college town {has a college in it}, but does not remind me of the college town I know and love {Athens,GA}.

Lucky for me, Charles doesn't mind going into antique stores. He prefers to browse, whereas I prefer to buy.

This place didn't look like much, but it turned out to be larger than we thought.

I carried this table runner around with me for awhile. It is terrible picture, remember no camera, just phone pics. Anyway, it is a muslin/linen type fabric. The pleats on the ends got me....After much measuring and discussion, we decided it was too long for our table. {And I really think the color was wrong}. Maybe this will be a project one day. Break out the old sewing machine from hibernation.

Just the other day, I thought we needed a bench in our bedroom. Charles said this was a good idea. Growing up, we always had furniture that was not large and slouchy. I would tell my mom that I couldn't wait to have big comfy pieces of furniture. Now I am married to someone who goes with the belief of "less is more." When we got it in the room, I told him I was going to take a nap on it. Then Savannah actually jumped up there with me. {I didn't take a nap on the pew}

As I am typing, I am thinking of all the people I have seen napping in church on Sunday mornings. Maybe this thing really is good for a quick nap....

I still have to decide what type of pillows to accent. Maybe one large seat cushion with a monogram in the center? I don't want too many throw pillows, since the seat isn't very deep.

The pillow is the one that stays on our bed, just on the bench to get ideas. I don't mind the paint finish, but that doesn't mean this thing still won't get painted...

I still have a few things to do before I post a final reveal of our master bedroom. It has come a LONG way. New paint, headboard, and now a new bench.

north ga winery tour

This past weekend Charles and I took a trip to north Georgia. He had a conference in Young Harris. We drove through Dalonega, and did some quick shopping in the downtown area. That is when I realized that I did not take my camera!!!

After leaving Dalonega, we visited 2 vineyards on our way to Young Harris.

These pictures aren't great since they are from my phone.

Wolf Mountain was the first winery we visited.

It was so beautiful. Immediately made us wish we lived on a vineyard.

We were also surprised and impressed with these Georgia winerys.

Of course I like any place that has a resident dog.

We met a guy who worked there from Albany, Charles' hometown. Small world.

On Saturday, we went to Crane Creek, a winery near Young Harris. It is smaller, but just as beautiful!

This isn't the resident dog, but a visitor.

Thought this vine covered shed was cool.

How cool is this? Love the sign.

I highly recommend visiting these winerys if you have a chance!

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary yesterday. It was a fun time. Went to Atlanta like last year, and had dinner at Two Urban Licks. It's our tradition.

Since I started this blog well after we got married, I thought I would post some pics from that great weekend in 2007.

i found this bucket at Twist on Main in Senoia, Ga. this is a cute shop that I have been wanting to visit for some time.

i think it's the perfect addition to our living room. charles wasn't quite so sure of my buying a painted bucket. i admit, it wasn't a huge steal, but it looked like it was finished just like our mirror. . . i couldn't resist.

Serenbe {part 1}

I am calling this post "part 1" even though it's really the later part of our day. Charles and I have been to Serenbe so many times, but this trip we actually parked, and walked around. Because of that, I have 1000 pictures. I have decided to break this into two posts.

These pictures are from the newest section of Serenbe. It is located behind the stables. Not sure if all, or only a portion is named "The Nest."

Sophie and Savannah went with us. We did walk the first part of Serenbe, but hit this area on the way out. Savannah loves catching some cool breezes.

Looks like there's going to be a mod influence in this area. Not my taste, but cool. This house is on a lake.

More cottage inspired homes. Smaller footprints. I get so much inspiration from here. Love the new "old" look.

flea market wrap up

Last Saturday was the first annual Griffin Spalding Historical Society Flea Market. It was a lot of fun, and I think we all made it a success! Here are some pictures from the day. At the end you'll see Mark with our bags, we had a special towards the end of the sale~stuff your bag for $5. Can't wait for next year! Here are some pics. Oh yeah, and happy April Fool's!
